For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16, NIV God loves a cheerful giver! But in order to be a good giver, you have to be a good receiver. Open your heart to Him and receive everything He has for you, then you can be a blessing everywhere you go! The temptation to live selfish lives is one of the most pressing issues confronting our society today.
Did you realize, though, that God made us to be givers of His unselfish and compassionate love? John 3:16 tells us that God showed His love to us by giving His Son, and we also show our love to others by our giving.
When you step forth and build a giving lifestyle, you can experience a new level of God’s joy, blessing, and favor in your life. Rather than taking, be a provider. Today, embrace your life; live in the peace that comes from knowing that God loves you completely. Get up every morning and start with a declaration of faith: “I am God’s masterpiece, and He loves me just the way I am.” Let the love of God build your confidence, and boldly go out and be all that He has created you to be.
Remember, God loves you so much today. He wants to restore you. He wants to restore your family. He has a great future planned for you. Stand in faith, keep believing, and keep praying because there’s nothing too difficult for Him. Even If you don’t feel like it, take a step of faith; God sees your obedience to Him. He’ll honor you because you’ve honored His Word.
Rather than trying to figure out what everybody can do for you, start looking for things that you can do for somebody else. Be a giver rather than a taker. God loves you too much to open wrong doors. He’s not letting you down, He’s doing you a favor.
PRAYER FOR TODAY: “God, make me aware of the needs of the people around me. Show me how I can be a blessing everywhere I go.” Remember, you are the hands and feet of Jesus on earth. When you take care of His business, He will take care of your business! Every day, I will seek out ways to show kindness and compassion. In Jesus’ Name – Amen”
