The opposition may have turned up the heat seven times hotter than normal, but they didn’t do that without God’s permission. He’s in control, not just of your life, He’s in control of your enemies. Instead of complaining about the fire, invite Him into the fire. When He’s with you, you can’t be defeated. You and God are a majority. He’s a supernatural God. He’s not limited by fire, by floods, by famines.
You may be in a fire now, but this is not the time to complain. It’s not the time to just pray, “God, get me out.” More than ever, you need to say, “Father, thank You that You’re in this fire with me. Thank You that no weapon formed against me will prosper; thank You that what was meant for my harm You are turning to my advantage. I’m not going to worry. I’m going to trust. I believe what You said that everything is going to be fine for me.”
God said in Isaiah, “When you go through the waters, I will be with you. When you go through the rivers, they will not overwhelm you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned.” He didn’t say I’ll keep you out of every fire; you won’t have to face any famines. He said these challenges are going to come, there will be adversities, things we don’t understand, but the whole key to this verse is when He said, “I will be with you in the flood, in the fire, in the famine.”
You know what God promised, but it looks impossible, nothing is changing, the odds are against you, surely it would have happened by now. You can’t see any sign of it. But suddenly, when you don’t see it coming, when everything looks the same, the door will open, your health will improve, the right person will show up. You don’t know what God is up to behind the scenes.
