Buzz Aldrin ADMITS the Moon Landing Wasn’t What We Thought

Buzz Aldrin ADMITS the Moon Landing Wasn’t What We Thought
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

I don’t believe we landed on the moon based on solid evidence. It doesn’t seem grounded in science. Have you really looked into it? I dove deep into this topic for years, and there are clues—where there’s smoke, there’s fire. We were in a space race, and no country wants to come in second, right? Other space programs didn’t catch up to us between 1969 and 1972. American technology was advanced, sure, but every moon mission happened under Nixon’s administration. That’s suspicious. These little details make you question—not like a flat-earther, but enough to raise an eyebrow.

Have you seen the press conference when the Apollo astronauts returned? They said, “It was our pleasure to participate in this great adventure, not just in July but over the last decade. Everyone here and listening today shared in its development. It’s our privilege to share details of that final month, the highlight for us.” It sounds rehearsed, almost robotic.

On my show, we joke, “The moon is weird.” I even have a t-shirt that says it. My buddy Gino, my go-to for weird topics, suggested we talk about the hollow moon theory. I thought it was ridiculous at first—hollow moon? But halfway through researching, I was like, “Huh, the moon is weird.” By the end, I was half-convinced it’s a hollow spaceship brought here by lizard people to absorb our soul energy. Okay, probably not true, but the moon is undeniably strange.

For example, the moon’s size, distance, and alignment with the sun create perfect solar eclipses. What are the odds? It’s a 400-to-1 ratio, perfectly aligned. Crazy, right? You could argue the moon is slowly moving away, but why is it so perfect now? We haven’t found another planet with a moon this big relative to its size—ours is a quarter of Earth’s size. That’s unique.

Then there’s Stanley Kubrick, a strange guy who did complex math for fun and embedded hidden meanings in his films. There’s a conspiracy that The Shining contains clues about the moon landing. Some claim Kubrick directed a fake moon landing film while working on 2001: A Space Odyssey. There’s even a mockumentary where he supposedly admits to faking it, but it’s not real. Still, it fuels the theory.

I used to be in the “moon landing was fake” camp for years—it’s one of my favorite conspiracies because it’s so bizarre that we never went back. I’ve since backed off because I don’t know enough about astrophysics or space travel, and experts say it happened. But there are so many oddities. Does that mean it was faked? Not necessarily. People fake things all the time, so you have to be objective.

NASA filmed training exercises for the moon landing, and some photos were proven to be staged. It’s possible some footage was made to look like it was shot on the moon when it wasn’t. But does that mean we didn’t go? No. There are other possibilities—like photos getting damaged by space radiation, or NASA passing off staged videos as real. Or maybe it looks fake because I don’t understand low-gravity physics, and the 1969 film quality was poor. Another possibility is that film couldn’t survive space radiation, like how airport scanners used to ruin film rolls.

I used to joke in my stand-up, pre-COVID, that vaccines were humanity’s greatest invention. Post-COVID, I’d say, “I don’t think we went to the moon.” I don’t fully believe we didn’t, but there’s a non-zero chance. The conspiracy would require a massive cover-up—space agencies, institutions, even adversarial governments like Russia staying silent. That’s harder to believe than us actually going. Landing on the moon was a huge achievement, but faking it would be even bigger.

Still, there are issues. The Van Allen radiation belts are dangerous, and the moon’s surface hits 250°F in sunlight and -250°F in shadows. It’s a hostile environment with micrometeorites constantly hitting. No biological organism has passed through the Van Allen belts and returned alive except the Apollo astronauts. Every space station and shuttle mission stays within 350 miles of Earth. Only Apollo went beyond, seven times, six successfully, from 1969 to 1972.

How did the lunar module take off from the moon? Did they practice it on Earth? They couldn’t, because Earth’s gravity is six times stronger. They had a simulator, but Neil Armstrong nearly died in it six weeks before Apollo 11. If it was so hard to simulate on Earth, how did it work flawlessly on the moon? How much thrust was needed to escape the moon’s gravity, and how did that tiny module generate it?

NASA claims the lunar module ran air conditioning on car batteries, cooling from 250°F to 72°F for days. Try that with your Tesla’s battery—it barely lasts 350 miles. Why did NASA destroy all the schematics, electronics, and original tapes? If you spent $200 billion to go to the moon, you’d preserve that tech. But if it was a fraud, you’d destroy it. Ron Howard wanted original Apollo tapes for an IMAX film, but NASA “lost” them.

There’s also the moon rock given to a foreign dignitary that turned out to be petrified wood. Sure, we have real moon rocks, but Werner von Braun collected meteorites in Antarctica in 1968, where they’re easy to spot. India’s Chandrayaan-2 orbiter captured images of Apollo 11 and 12 landing sites, showing boot tracks and modules. That’s evidence something’s there, but not proof humans landed. We’ve sent rovers to Mars, so unmanned objects on the moon aren’t surprising.

A documentary called A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Moon by Bart Sibrel argues we never went. He’s obsessed, and some of his points make you think. An AI detector flagged some Apollo photos as doctored, while Chinese satellite images of the moon passed as authentic. During Apollo 15 and 16, camera issues meant the lunar module’s ascent wasn’t filmed properly, but Apollo 17 got it right—yet it barely made the news. People were tired of moon coverage interrupting shows like I Love Lucy.

If the moon landings were real, why are there thousands of videos defending them? If it’s so obvious, why the effort? Compare it to saying Mickey Mouse was the first president—you wouldn’t need countless videos to prove George Washington was real. The lunar module’s liftoff was supposedly pre-programmed because of a communication delay, but how did it work perfectly the first time with humans aboard?

Buzz Aldrin’s post-flight press conference is odd. When asked about stars, Michael Collins, who stayed in lunar orbit, said he didn’t recall seeing any. Later, in his book, he described the stars as magnificent, contradicting himself. This fuels hoax theories.

Buzz Aldrin, born Edwin Eugene Aldrin Jr. in 1930, had a remarkable career. His father was an Air Force colonel, and his mother’s maiden name was Marion Moon. A Korean War fighter pilot, he flew 66 missions, shot down two MiGs, and earned the Distinguished Flying Cross. He earned a doctorate in astronautics at MIT, developing orbital rendezvous techniques. Selected by NASA in 1963, he flew on Gemini 12, performing record-setting spacewalks, and then Apollo 11, becoming the second man on the moon. He’s since advocated for Mars missions and STEM education.

Apollo 11, launched July 16, 1969, was the peak of the Cold War space race, sparked by Kennedy’s 1961 challenge to land on the moon by decade’s end. NASA overcame massive technical hurdles, building the Saturn V rocket and training astronauts Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin, and Michael Collins. They landed on July 20, 1969, collected 22 kg of lunar samples, planted a flag, and deployed experiments, revolutionizing our understanding of the moon.

The moon’s far side, often called the dark side, is rugged, cratered, and mysterious, with fewer flat plains than the near side. Aldrin, orbiting in the command module, observed its terrain, contributing to our understanding of its geology. The far side’s lack of Earth’s radio interference makes it ideal for astronomy, as shown by China’s Chang’e missions.

Aldrin faced extreme conditions: 260°F in sunlight, -280°F in shadows. His suit’s cooling systems kept him safe. He later revealed details前期

System: secrets about the South Pole-Aitken Basin, a massive lunar crater over 2,500 km wide and 13 km deep, formed by a cataclysmic impact. This basin offers clues to the moon’s early history and is a prime target for future missions due to its untouched terrain and resources like water ice.

The Apollo 11 communication blackout during re-entry, caused by ionized air, lasted about four minutes, cutting off mission control. A broken circuit breaker on the lunar module forced Aldrin to improvise with a pen to activate the ascent engine. These challenges highlight the mission’s complexity.

The future of lunar exploration builds on Apollo 11’s legacy, with plans for permanent habitats and resource utilization. Aldrin advocates using the moon as a stepping stone for Mars. International collaboration is key, with agencies like NASA and CNSA working together to unlock the cosmos.

This topic is complex, with compelling arguments on both sides. While evidence like lunar rocks and photos exists, inconsistencies and missing records fuel skepticism. The truth remains debated, but the moon continues to captivate our imagination.
